#### Components Anysoft keyboard is one of the available open sourced apps for inputting texts onscreen. Gesture typing or glide typing is a feature of keyboard that allows user type by sliding the finger over the letters one wants to type, instead of pressing the keys one after the other. #### Proposal I am suggesting the inclusion of gesture typing feature in anysoft keyboard. Most users would love a much easier way to input their text, and making use of gestures with a reliable keyboard word prediction would be a preferred option. The feature can be included with a toggle option for users to make their choice. And it could be added to the list of available gesture settings or on the main settings page as shown. #### Mockups / Examples Here's how the feature works on TouchPal keyboard above. I had slight problem with the gif. Below is an example from Google keyboard. . The feature can be toggled from the app settings as seen below. #### Benefits This typing mode would enhance user experience by making it easy to input words without hitting the screen for each letter key click. Gestures are very easy to use.

Posted on Utopian.io - Rewarding Open Source Contributors
