Use every opportunity you get to make those connections. Keep in mind that the people you meet, whether in person or online, have experiences different than yours. You can learn from them and apply those things.

My approach is to always think what can I do for someone, not what I can get out of them. Often,  here on Steemit, people want to build their page by spamming, begging, demanding, even trying to guilt others into following, or upvoting them. If you are guilty of this, you may want to rethink that approach 😊
