# MESSIER ART DEEP DIVE AND INTERVIEW
[Messier Art](https://www.messier.art/) is the latest NFT Marketplace to launch on Terra (Luna) Network and continues to build on a thriving ecosystem. 

Having only gone live at the start of March this year (2022) the NFT Market place brings a broad range of additions that will help support artists operating or wanting to operate in the Web3 space. 

In a recent interview with [Coinquora](https://coinquora.com/messier-art-ceo-we-are-building-an-nft-marketplace-out-of-pure-passion/) the project discussed its new features including the Massier [Fee structure](https://medium.com/@Messier.Art/messier-art-fee-s-structure-6b05ab2d4e16) which splits the 1% fee between the seller and purchaser with each party covering .5%. 

There are additional benefits to artists who mint on Messier Art whom will receive a permanent 10% reduction.

### Using Luna Rewards to buy back art
Messier Art also operates a Luna validator and are currently developing a model to utilise earned rewards to buy art work and support artists which will help to further grow the artwork produced and support loyal artists. 

The other NFT launch model implemented is the ability of a random purchase in which a purchaser buys a piece of art from a collection and a random item is sold rather than a choose and buy model. Much like the  system implemented by [Curio](https://www.curio.art/) which utilised Terrand random number generator for their protocol.

### Accept any token as payment
Messier Art will also utilise Terra (Luna) Networks ecosystem which has enabled cross-chain transactions since the Columbus 5 mainnet upgrade and provide artists the ability to accept whatever currency they have listed their artwork for. 

No doubt, this is a lucrative position for many artists who may wish to trade in tokens other than UST and provide an edge in the NFT space which is still heavily focused on UST.

### The Interview

**Can you tell us a bit about the project team any experience in the sector and what brought on the idea to create Messier Art.**
*The marketing side of the team comes from a more traditional web 2 background. We have dozens of years in experience in sales, management and customer support. Our development team also brings dozens of years worth of development in front-end, back-end, blockchain and cloud related development.* 
 
*The Messier project was built because we felt the Terra space was lacking an all-in-one inclusive experience. Making it easy for artists to bring their art to the ecosystem, while also giving these artists a voice is something we are very passionate about. And then bringing utility to these artists by bringing a real life aspect to any type of art, that's what we are about.*
***That is an interesting sector development and your web2 experience has paid off on the development of Messier Art*** 

**What unique features does Messier Art bring to Terra NFT sector?.**
*What really makes Messier unique is that we bring the all-in-one package with a UI that has user experience at the core of its design. We are also the first marketplace that brings unrestricted 1:1 minting, giving everyone an easy to use interface to sell their art. We bring a never seen before fee structure that is all about giving back to the community, and promoting a healthy ecosystem.*
***The fees is something that has stuck out to me with a 1% fee I believe you might be the cheapest around which will definitely change the sector.***

**What benefits will Messier Art deliver to artists?**
*Industry low fees and a voice for even the smallest of artists. We are soon going to be launching our first "indie" collection. Those are collections from artists that don't necessarily want to partake in the "utility" hype that is surrounding NFTs currently. They just want to bring cool art, and they can count on our full support.*
***This is a big thing in my opinion, I know quite a few artists in the real world and also produce art myself. I know many that have tried NFTs but aren't able to gain a sale. This will be a great support to the sector***

**Will Messier Art provide airdrops to Luna stakers?**
*We are constantly looking for ways to give back to our community. Be that in discounts, cool incentives, or airdrops of NFTs/tokens. We have a revenue sharing model*

**Where do you see Messier Art in the future and what new innovative developments will the team provide to continue adoption?**
*When we launched our marketplace a little over two weeks ago on the first of March, we already brought innovative features none of the marketplaces had. We have a roadmap full of features never seen before on the Terra ecosystem (some are unreleased for now). As we have done since day 1 - we will continue to innovative and bring healthy development to our favourite ecosystem of them all.*

**Is there anything else you would like our readers to know about?**
*We want the readers to know that we are here for them. We want to bring the most passionate community cantered marketplace in the space. We are constantly monitoring our discord for new features to implement (some of which we already have) and we invite everyone to come share their ideas. It's only by listening to the great minds that don't necessarily have a team at their disposal to build out those ideas, that we can build something truly great.*
