### Reasons why you should power up Leo
Goooood day Lion's are we ready to roar into another fabulous year and lets be honest after the shocking year that 2022 was it's about time we received some positivity in the charts and a return to black. 

Although we are still a long long way to a full blown recovery and while this bull run is still quite early and anything can happen it is still quite an exciting one that we actually saw coming.

### Leo Power Up Day 
You might have already seen the many Leo Power Up posts that are circulating on the platform and it is a growing trend with more and more people choosing to jump on board with the trend. There are a few reasons behind the monthly event's growth and being in the running for the awesome prizes isn't just one reason to power up your Leo tokens. 

We all know the more tokens powered up the smaller the circulating supply which also increases the value of the token as more and more people jump on board looking to grow their own stack and build their upvote values. 

Currently around 75% of Leo Tokens are staked and if we go back to when Leo was relatively new and remember when most of Leo's circulating supply was staked the token was 4 Hive to 1 Leo.

### The more Leo you own the more Leo you earn 
Leo is a unique community and there is only a handful of decentralised protocols that reward ongoing engagement and use and fortunately for us Leo Finance is one of those blockchain protocols that rewards you with more tokens. 

This model of distribution has been widely successful throughout the Hive Blockchain which is fast becoming one of the longest lasting and successful blockchains ever created. 

Token prices might not be $100 each but freelance journalists, bloggers, music lovers the like can easily earn that through sharing original content and putting in the hard yards and developing their own personal brand.

### In the beginning 
When I first came to Hive I had no idea what to do or what I was really doing but over the years I stuck around and kept working hard to find my niche working as a freelance financial journalist as well as a blogger across many of Hives valuable communities. 

I haven't become self made rich although there are a few users who have gone onto bigger and better things but Hive did provide a life line to me a few months ago when financial woes hit and the Leo Finance and Hive community that I had been blogging for, for quite some time paid off and I was able to get out of the trouble I was in. 

There are countless stories emerging on Hive where whole communities are now providing clean drinking water to villages, roads are being built and people have increased their quality of life through purchasing cars and other necessities to get them through their days.

### We all win 
There has been a lot said about participation metals and how they can remove the life lessons of challenges but one thing is for sure when we power up we all win. 

Let's not forget the recent announcement of Project Blank which is now coming closer and the air drop which will see participants receive an air dropped token based on their Leo Holdings and who doesn't like free stuff?
