# Skippy Development, Building the Race Team
Gooooood day everyone I trust you are safe and well I am stuck between a few interviews waiting for some return responses so I thought it would be a wonderful time to give a quick progress report on Skippy Race Way. Noting that I haven't come up with an actual name for the race yet and was wondering if you, the community would like to come up with a name. So feel free to pop your ideas below in the comments. 

thank you to everyone who has picked up SWAP.SKP from Hive Engine thus far we are growing in support which is great and I think it is a wonderful project to get involved in that we can then transition to smart contracts once they are launched on Hive.

### Building the Demo Cars
If you missed my previous post [Have you bought your SWAP.SKP yet? Start Your Engines, we're off to the races!](https://leofinance.io/@melbourneswest/have-you-bought-your-swap-skp-yet-start-your-engines-we-re-off-to-the-races) just for a quick rehash I am developing an NFT race car game on Hive that will use a random number generator to predict race outcomes. In the future there will be additional car part NFTs that players can buy to up grade their cars and make them faster!

although the cars being painted in these pictures are not the NFTs (unless people want them as such) Little Miss and I have got hard to work in painting some RC cars which we will use to make a few ads for the game.

Stay tuned as we take them down to the sandy dunes along the creek for some race way shots and hopefully put together a decent enough film to promote the races. 

As the game outcome will be determined by a random number generator I wanted to make it a bit more fun than just a website that lists the winning car. The fun in a race is well, the race!

So we're currently experimenting with a few different types of ways to run the race and utilising a number of cameras to take different thrilling images and video footage of the race.

We bought some matchbox cars to test out and practice our filmography skills and it has been a heap of fun also bringing little miss along that journey has added to the joy. I have ended up with a business partner whom at 5 knows what Hive Blockchain is and what crypto currency is. 

It's been quite enjoyable and now I have a business partner who is focused on fun and advising me on how to make the game "*even more fun*"

### NFT car airdrops 

I would like to remind everyone at this stage players whom have a minimum 1000 SWAP.SKP purchased from Hive-Engine will receive a FREE NFT car which will be needed to play the game. 

You will get to see your car race IRL through a video which will be uploaded to 3speak. So don't forget to pick up some SWAP.SKP and let's get ready to race! 

Filming for the demo video should commence tomorrow and hopefully wind up in a few weeks time.
