### Terra Ecosystem Rebuild but with an IBC Twist
6 months ago the Terra (Luna) Network went into the worlds largest Crypto Death Spiral that saw [Interpol issue red notice on Do Kwon](https://leofinance.io/@melbourneswest/interpol-issues-red-notice-on-do-kwon) making him one of the most wanted men in the world at current. Something a few years ago you'd think was only possible if you were a Taliban member. But alas here we are in 2022 with South Korean National who took the Crypto World by Storm and then caused one. 

It has taken time to recover the the market still hasn't bounced back to the $US4 Trillion tech bubble it had in 2021 but according to [coinmarketcap ](https://coinmarketcap.com/) the broader Crypto Market has just breached $US1 Trillion once again which is a welcoming move given the current financial predicament the world is in with climbing interest rates.

### Terra 2.0
Despite the absolute destruction of Terra (Luna) Network a fork was established to attempt to compensate investors but the token has struggled to break [$US3 ](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/terra-luna-v2/) and despite trades from time to time doesn't provide much confidence in those whom were hurt in the downfall. 

But despite the crash there are still projects relaunching on the network with many old returning and a few new ones coming along to help drive the network back from the brink of death. 

With [33 relaunched and new projects](https://www.terra.money/ecosystem) on Terra 2.0 it is far from completely dead and people are trying to regain the market that once was however, despite their work it doesn't appear to be having too much of an impact although it has only been 6 months so there is still plenty of time to see how Terra 2.0 pans out and the token isn't completely zeroed out just yet.

[Astroport](https://www.terra.money/ecosystem/astroport) and [Coinhall](https://coinhall.org/?chains=Terra+2.0) are a couple who have returned to provide services to Terra 2.0 with an additional application of IBC transfers and a larger more robust service to cryto enthusiasts. In fact a large cohort of former Terra Projects quickly pivoted to provide services on Cosmos systems to ensure their survival. 

This has resulted now in many projects building resilience against further declines as their offered services expand beyond one single chain and are not bound by one but can operate across multiple.

Much like [Whitewhale](https://app.whitewhale.money/swap?from=null&to=null) which rapidly shifted its pools to become an interchain liquidity infrastructure now providing their LPs across many many chains and building wealth for anyone who invests on any of their networks or building wealth for investors from across the cryptosphere. 

Once only available on Terra (Luna) Network it's integration to IBC has provided it a newer more resilient business model for once things return to normal and trading resumes.

So while the Terra (Luna) Collapse was a monumental stuff up as things begin to regain some ground and come back was it a blessing in disguise for all the developers and projects by enabling them to enhance their business models and further drive implementation and development of a growing sector? 

If it were not for the collapse would we now have a larger more resilient industry that has expanded with multiple access and entry points to further lock in prices and increase security? 

It's only been 6 months and it is still very much early days but the people who persevered are proving that their skills and abilities to fight back against industry turbulent times instead of giving up is invaluable. 

There is one major difference now than before in that one of the key drivers of Terra (Luna) Networks success was all the airdrops which brought billions in investment. The re launch isn't providing community tokens air dropped to Terra 2.0 stakers. Would things be different if they re launched that highly sought after and lucrative option?
