####  My #mountainmonday post includes just a couple of the hundreds of  photos I took while traveling the Beartooth Highway in  Northwest Wyoming near the Montana border. It is the most dramatic and breathtaking route into Yellowstone National Park.

#### The Beartooth Highway is a 68-mile travel corridor, beginning just south of Red Lodge, Montana and ending near the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone National Park and Cooke City. Due to all the hairpin turns and switchbacks it takes approximately 3 hours (depending on how often you stop for photos) It took us all day!

#### The road rises to 10, 947 feet at Beartooth Pass in Wyoming well above the tree line. The views are breathtaking, but make sure you have a windbreaker to put on! It was cold up there and the wind was ferocious.

#### The highway is open May to October but can be closed anytime there is bad weather.
