Hi to all my friends in the Black and White Community, it’s Menti again with a new blog and a new shoot!

This time, the session was wrapped in a winter vibe—gentle cold, golden sunlight, and a snow-covered background. The model, dressed in a shiny dark jacket over a black shirt, stood out perfectly against the white surroundings, drawing all attention to his expression and posture.

Lighting was completely natural. The sun, shining from an angle, bounced off the snow to create soft, balanced highlights on the face and outfit. We managed to avoid harsh contrasts and kept the shadows under control, resulting in a very clean and professional look.

The shoot took place in a mountainous, snowy terrain. The twisted, dry branches and scattered rocks added a raw, poetic contrast to the purity of snow. Despite the cold weather, the day was sunny, creating ideal conditions for this series.

One major challenge was moving equipment through the snow and stabilizing the tripod on the uneven ground. Rapid light changes demanded careful adjustment of shutter speed and ISO to maintain proper exposure and depth.

The model’s poses were relaxed and natural—looking into the camera, standing casually, or sitting on the snow. These added honesty and realism to the photos, blending him seamlessly into the wild landscape.
