_In today's world, the problem of data confidentiality is one of the most urgent. Using the Internet, people constantly leave information about themselves: almost every site collects data about all actions of the visitor: his clicks, how long he spent on a particular page, etc. And Internet corporations like Google track user actions on all sites of the World Wide Web. Subsequently, these data is used to promote various goods and services that are potentially suitable for the user. And this is the best case scenario._

_It gets much worse when personal data (e-mail address, phone number, nicknames in instant messengers, etc.), left on seemingly reliable sites, fall into the hands of spammers and scammers. A user may be attacked by a flurry of obsessive advertising and accounts can be hacked._

_And do not forget about the security of personal data, such as passwords to services, photos of documents sent for verification, bank card data, etc. The security systems of the receiving service of this data do not always cope with the protection, and the user is again vulnerable._

**To solve the problems of security and privacy of user data on the Internet**, as well as for a number of other goals, the Essentia project was created. This is a decentralized platform that allows users to safely store their data on the cloud and fully control access to them.

**In the future Essentia should become something more than just a platform for the safe personal data storage.** Data management services are just one of many parts of the ecosystem. Thanks to blockchain technologies, the user will be able to store his personal data and passwords to log on to various websites, pay for purchases, and pass verifications. It is assumed that services will access the data to verify the user, but, at the same time, they will not be able to copy the information and transfer it to third parties.

_In addition, thanks to the reputation system, other services will be able to check the reliability of the client, without resorting to additional audits and intermediary services._

**The second Essentia service will allow to link different applications, both centralized and decentralized, and resources into one ecosystem.** This will allow developers to use open codes of other applications, and create their own Dapps based on them, and users will get access to useful information and software.

**Now the Essentia project already has the main blockchain, the file cloud storage and the alpha version of the framework.** The DApps store is also open. For individuals, the initial version of the application on App.essentia.one is available.

**In the nearest future, the project plans to launch custom VPNs, TOR and Mysteriums, conduct the 2nd and 3rd rounds of decentralized applications integration and other technical upgrades. Also the team is already working on creating Essentia version for business and government agencies.**
