### About The Utopian Colony Project
[Utopian](https://utopian.io/) is a community/platform on the Steem Blockchain that is dedicated to rewarding open-source contributions. Now [Utopian](https://utopian.io/) is trying to move to a whole new level with the Utopian Colony Project. The project would be dedicated to helping project owners and users to contribute to open-source projects, and get rewarded for their contribution according to the quality of their work. As at [Utopian](https://utopian.io/) has launched a crowdfunding campaign on [Indiegogo](https://igg.me/at/utopian), which is known as the **Indiegogo Campaign**. The goal of this campaign is to help [Utopian](https://utopian.io/) raise the needed funds to complete and launch an early version of Utopian Colony in Q2 of this year. It's now up to you and I, to support this awesome project, with our small or big contributions. The target of this campaign, is to raise at least $35,000 and as at the moment this article was been written, only $2,195 has been raised, which is about 6% of the required fund(so put this at the back of your mind when you want to make your contribution).

### How Can I Join The Campaign 
It's quite simple, go to  Indiegogo website by clicking on this [link](https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/utopian-empowering-open-source-innovation/x/20597393#/) and then sign up. I would show you screenshots of how it done below, go on and read, so that when you see the screenshots, you would understand them better. The sign up is quite simple, straightforward and fast. Once you signed up, click on**"BACK IT"**, after you have clicked on it, you would see **"Make a Contribution"** or **"Select a Perk from the list"**, just enter the amount you would like to contribute and then click on **Continue**(I would give more info on the Perks, on my Part 2, so watch out for it). After that, you would see where you need to input your card details for payment, after inputting your details, click on **Submit Payment** and that's all. You must know that your contribution would be greatly appreciated. You can also help the project by creating awareness of it on your social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter, Medium, Reddit, and more.
