Time Is Of Great Importance - Lesson Learned Over Again
<div  class=text-justify>

From January till December and it's just a few days to New year, I can't help but only say **"I'm grateful for everything"** and I can't say that enough because the year wasn't so bad for me as it was for some people I know and heard from their stories. Well, this post isn't to start counting out all the things that I'm grateful about but to share the greatest lesson I've learned through this year.

I may have learnt a lot of lessons from this year but only one kept ringing in my head when I thought about writing for this topic, the one lesson I think I've been learning over and over as I tend to forget it sometime in my life which I know is bad is what I tag as *"Time Is of Great Importance"*.

**Who doesn't know time is of great importance?**

The topic didn't specify if the lesson should be a new or old one and I guess the questionnaire knows that it is very possible to learn same lessons over again like we do see in schools to get students into the habit of knowing such a thing.

All my life, I've been learning this lesson over and over but somehow and intentional at times, I tend to get rid of this lesson in my heart and I spend my time away as I like forgetting that **"Lost times can never be gotten back"** and I've done some things I regret from not learning my always taught lesson.

**How did this year teach me the same lesson again?**

There were so many signs and ways I learnt this exact lesson from life in this year and thinking about it now, I only realize it after I've lost a few minutes away that I can't get back. Losing a loved one isn't painful, *you know what's more painful when you lose a loved one?*

***Not giving enough of your time to them when they were alive***

And it's even worse when you realize you actually wasted your time on something unproductive or irrelevant instead of being with them, if only you knew they will be gone forever anytime soon. It was hard for me but somehow I came off it and decide to be valuable with my time more.

Now, I tend to check on my friends even if it's just to ask after their health and laugh with them once in a while. Using my time like that now pays so much more than what I had thought was more important. I think one of the ways life teaches a lesson and the world listens is letting them feel pain while they are being taught, it's sad but I won't say life is unfair.

I lost a friend this year and the year taught me to value my time with my friends and family and not just focus it on myself (*achieving my own desires*) because I never know when they will leave me (*I never wish for it but I can't control that*).

**I'm sharing or reminding you of this lesson once again...**

Time is of great importance, whether yours or the time of others... Treat it as such and be warned, you never know what's going to happen next. Value your time with families, friends and even with yourself.

This year also gave me a song to remind me of this great lesson... A song by **Johnny Drille** titled **"How are you my friend?"** you can listen to the song if you haven't. </div>

The song is in my most played song list and I think that's a good enough proof that I'm learning my lesson and even in a musical way, I believe I'll do even better next year.

*What lesson have you learned from this year?*</div>
