Learning photography in the Humboldt (HDR effect)
***Photographs of my property
Benq GH700 camera***

When I reached the top of the mountain, I met some very nice girls who asked me to take a few photos, and of course I accepted. That place was radiant and to my surprise there was no fog, it was perfect for this session but there was a problem, the sky was quite bright and caused contrast in the photographs.

# The problem
As you can see, the sky was completely **clear and illuminated**, but there was also a lot of contrast, which caused an occurrence in some areas of the image.

This contrast gives a splendid effect to most of the photos, but with a **family photo** like this, it was not the best. Then I set out to investigate the issue and really the easiest way to fix this problem is through editing.

This effect is known as **HDR (High Dynamic Range)** and consists in illuminating or exposing several parts of the image. I use Lightroom in this case because I think it's a very simple program to use. To make this effect I just raised the shadows and lowers the highlights

> In this session, I learned that our camera or cellphone cannot always illuminate both areas of the image and it is important that the place where low lights are located, be dark because photography stores much more information in these areas and the editing will be much more easy.

There are many more ways to edit to cause this effect, some people prefer to take several photos of the scene and superimpose them in Photoshop, it really is an option but in this particular case I did not think it was a good alternative. To do this I had to have a tripod or an object of support and the family had to be completely immobile to take the three photos, which sounds crazy to me.

Finally I will show you the other photos of my small session:

As you can see I bought a delicious boat filled with strawberries and cream prepared by this little boy. I fell in love with his smile and those clear eyes.

***Concentration***

Every time I go out to capture these moments, I notice how these become more interesting, they remain static with a message to free interpretation by the public, like this lady who was so concentrated and submerged in her world that she did not give importance to the conversation of the ladies behind, or the walkers.
