In this video I go over what it means if a function is differentiable, which means if the derivative exists at either a specific point or interval. I illustrate how to find out if a function is differentiable by going over the example y = |x|.

# Is a function Differentiable? + Example

A function f is differentiable at **a** if **f’(a)** exists.

It is differential in an interval if it is differential at every number in the interval.

## Example

Where is the function **f(x) = |x|** differentiable?

**f(x) = |x|** is differentiable at all values but **x = 0**.
