I finally started a guild on Splinterlands

I often describe myself as the kind of gamer that does it for the social aspect. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy playing solo games from time to time. To me my most fondest memories of gaming include other gamers by my side. Whether it was my younger brother picking up the 2nd controller of one of our many consoles, a friend that stayed up with me to beat a game by taking turns, or the countless people I have played with in World of Warcraft. I enjoy the community and comradery aspect. For me, this is what gaming is all about.

My Splinterlands career started in July-2021; too late for Untamed and barely made it for Dice. While I was able to pick up some cards, I didn't think I had much to really work with. So I played very casually. That is, until Chaos Legion. I was fortunate enough to be in a position that let me invest a decent amount into the game and bought some packs. Now that I have the game; I have the cards; I just need one more thing to bring it over the top for me -- a closer community.

The name "Chaos Theory" is a name I decided to reuse as it once was a personal guild I created back in my World of Warcraft days. It feels like a good name to use again considering the latest Splinterlands set (as of the time writing this) is Chaos Legion. For those that are unfamiliar with Chaos Theory, it is the study of apparently random or unpredictable behavior in systems governed by deterministic laws. Don't worry, we won't be discussing mathematics and science today.

Now the guild has been established on Splinterlands and the Discord is up and running, it's time to start recruiting. It hasn't been decided on what kind of guild this will be, but I'm hoping to find some awesome people that are active and willing to make a respectful and healthy gaming community. The kind of community where we may play other games together and have some quality conversations. I believe this is the type of community that turns out to be successful in the game itself.

If you play Splinterlands and are interested, feel free to join the discord to inquire about our recruitment: https://discord.gg/EwTwNuanzx
