You Must Write

You’re Not Invisible

We should all blog because we can.

The internet has given us a platform, a soap box, and we can choose to use it or not.

Most of us have chosen to use it.

Here’s why blogging is important
1.	The internet is NOT everywhere, and not everyone has this luxury/privilege.
2.	We have a voice and it’s important to use it.  The more we write and speak, the better and more comfortable we become with visibility.
3.	We all have something to teach or to learn.
4.	We have the tools to be SEEN and HEARD-use them!  (There is an old saying that women should be “Seen and NOT heard”, which is clearly bullshit.)
5.	It will teach us tolerance and resilience.  
6.	Writing will help you to become a better reader.  You will build more skills to know when someone is speaking/writing from the heart, because we have done so; we have walked the walk.  
7.	It’s impossible that everyone will agree with everything we write.    That’s ok.
8.	Charlatans will be easier to spot. Pretenders might aim for agreeing with everyone so they can sell to everyone.  People are trying to make a living and that’s fine.  As a writer, over time, we will be able to identify the difference between sales copy and heartfelt writing.  We may appreciate both.  Sadly, even some of today’s spam can be very convincing grammatically correct writing.
9.	Writers are readers and in this way, with sharing and cross promotion, our sincere circle of friends and fans will increase. 
10.	Be authentic.  You can shine. You can help others shine too.
