Today was a really hot day in the Netherlands, the all-time high was broken with close to 30 degrees Celsius in some places! This morning at the coffee machine of our institute we were scheming to make the most out of this day within the limits of an office job.  Instead of a regular lunch break, we decided to go for some outdoor go-karting instead!

As I've mentioned in [a post](https://steemit.com/blog/@michelmake/a-european-country-that-disappeared-in-the-1920s) a long time ago, I'm working in Aachen Germany and living in a tiny village called Vaals in the Netherlands. Well, it turns out, this tiny little village has its own little race track!

We were with eight people and did two 15 minute heats. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to win and ended up fifth of the bunch. But in the end, I had a lot of fun though, racing (and most of all bashing) my colleagues/friends!
