Here is a blog post I did about a church in Alexandria VA that has decided to remove plaques from the church wall with the names Robert E Lee and...George Washington on them. The church is registered as a historical landmark because it dates back to the times of those two men and both attended the church at some point in their lives.

Should things like that be seen as historical markers or monuments meant to glorify the lives of the people mentioned on them? Is there a difference? I think there is and can easily see why monuments to bad people or things do not make sense but also believe that historical market=rs do have great value.
