Can you imagine sitting down to watch a movie with a bag of nachos and a bit of cheese sauce, and that that particular snack decision is the worst option you have ever taken?

That happened in May of last year when a Californian man ate some cheese sauce that was infected with botulinum toxin, but later died, but not before suffering some weeks of pain and confusion. 
The toxin, secreted by Clostridium botulinum bacteria, can appear in food, and once you consume it, the outlook is not good.

This is just one of the deadly toxins that can affect us at the best time of our lives.

Today in this post we will know the ten most deadly substances in the world:

**10 Lead:**

Lead is not the worst but lead poisoning is quite common. 
The researchers believe that this is how Beethoven died, and the global health organization said in 2015 that lead paint causes almost 500,000 deaths a year. If lead paint is exposed on a toy at low levels, children can suffer permanent brain damage. At high levels, lead can attack the central nervous system and lead to coma and death.

**9 Tetrodotoxin:**

This toxin is found in puffer fish, is very consumed in Japan and is known as fugu, this fish is prepared by licensed chef. if it is ingested by humans, it can cause respiratory failure, paralysis and death. Although the toxic part of the fish must be eliminated, setbacks may occur. 
The Tokyo Office of Social Welfare and Public Health has stated that over a period of time, it had a mortality rate of 6.8% of those who ingested it. There is no known antidote, so you should expect the toxins to leave the body or wait for death.

**8 Arsenic:**

This popular poison will not kill you in small amounts. in fact it was reported in 2017 that 2 million people in the United States were exposed to high levels of arsenic when extracting water from wells. In the Victorian era, women were poisoned by rubbing a mixture on their faces that contained arsenic, all in the name of beauty and the desire to have a pale complexion. Arsenic poisoning leads to cancer in developing countries, but a small dose of this harmless powder in your drink will kill you.

**7 Strictine:**

It is another substance that is found in many things that we could consume, it is mainly found in the nut tree, and from there it could make its way into a bag of one gram of cocaine, pesticides or even food and contaminated water. According to the CDC, you will feel anxious, you will feel muscle pain, you will have spasms and in high doses, suffer respiratory failure and brain death.

It has killed thousands of people as a military weapon and was the cause of 12 deaths in 1995 in the Tokyo subway. It is 26 times more deadly than cyanide. Depending on the degree of exposure and the duration of exposure, the effects can be mild, moderate or severe. In its most innocuous form, people feel their eyes irritated and start coughing, in average cases there is dizziness, changes in pressure and heart rate and, when it is very severe, comes the loss of consciousness and even death.

**4 Ricina:**

Ricin is one of the most potent toxins known, which is extracted from the seeds of the castor, in particular is a phytotoxin with cytotoxic activity.
