Challenge accepted...

Today I stumbled upon @daveks black and white photo challenge. The theme is beaches and I accept the challenge. 

And boy was it a challenge!

You see the thing is beaches don't look that great in black and white. I went through my archives and struggled to find one that looked great monochromatic.

As you can see the color image is way more dramatic looking as compared to the color. So I realized I need to find an image with something more than just pretty sand. And wallah...

What you see here is a huge crowd attending the annual International Sand Sculpting Festival hosted in Revere Beach. I had to resize the image to make it web friendly but you can still vaguely make out the sand castles by the tent. 

This shot is not a drone shot but I took it while riding a ferris wheel. Another fun fact is that Revere Beach happens to be the first public beach in the United States.
