I heard a former friend of mine speaking of “*bringing his venture to the next level*” and I started thinking what is really a “***next level***”. In the last months, deepening with the Yoga practice and knowledge, I am enjoying the continuous challenge that we have in our life of our Ego and our inner-self trying to make us evolving while our “little Ego” keeps pushing us back with different strategies from envy, anger, ambitions and so on. Our “*little Ego*” like I hear my father calling it from years, is something that is much scared of not existing anymore that scares us also of many evolving moments of our life. It’s afraid of change, it’s afraid of being forgotten. But when we overcome our *little Ego*, many things becomes possible like trying to see a connection with all the receptive humans around and talking about “*bringing ventures to another level*” starts sounding quite unfamiliar. ## What is a next level? Be careful. With such thoughts I am not saying that we should drop everything material in our life to pursue the ascetic life. >I am far from it. *BUT*, work is something that evolves gradually and *NOT* linearly. It evolves as much as we are evolving and ready to evolve. It’s a progress. One day, you see that you are getting a customer that you could not even imagine of reaching it out before. Another day you get to start a collaboration with someone that was far from your usual reach. And the day after, you get an idea of starting a new business line or another side-hustle. >It’s a proportional progress to evolutions. Different forms and kinds of evolution. So, when I hear “*brining it to the next level*” the first thins I ask myself and sometimes to the speaking one: ***“Do your really believe it or are you just impress someone eventually yourself?”*** I like this Meme below, as in my mind represents the expectations vs reality thing.
Source: Meme made with https://imgflip.com/memegenerator
A lot of influencers are now sharing a shouting messages of fast/easy winning paths while if the wins achieved are not backed by a real evolution/deserving they are going to go away. >Are they ready to suffer the Lost after the Win? On a Yoga path the obstacles have more or less the same inspiration but some obstacles can be much much difficult to overcome and to face as most of the time they will be represented by our deepest and most hidden fears that our small Ego release as progressive attempts to stop the aspirant in his/her evolution. >Still, the bigger the obstacle, the bigger the reward behind. Do you remember The Land Before Time cartoon? After the worst mountains and fights always great Lands were found.
Source: https://backtojannah.com/reward-of-patience-praiseworthy/
So, what do you think about the correct approach to “evolution”? Do you see “levels” as a suitable path or do you manage to appreciate also progressive change?
