_**Hello Steemit!**_ How are things? Another day, another challenge. And as you read in the title, on Day 5 of the #favouritethisandthat challenge, I will say a few words about my favorite public figure which is [Alexander the Great](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_the_Great)  <center>[image source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_the_Great)</center> He was born at 356 BC at Macedonia of Greece. And more specifically in an area named [Pella](https://el.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%9D%CE%BF%CE%BC%CF%8C%CF%82_%CE%A0%CE%AD%CE%BB%CE%BB%CE%B1%CF%82). His father was [King Fillip II](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_II_of_Macedon) and his mother was Olympiada. His parents wanted him to have the best possible education, that is why his father decided that the best "teacher" for his son would be [Aristotle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristotle).  <center>[Aristotle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristotle)</center> Aristotle taught him everything he needed to know about Greece and inspired him to learn about Greek spirit and civilization. He was the son of Fillip II but his mental father was Aristotle. Watching his father being a protagonist in battles but also in politics is what helped Alexander gain political and strategic abilities from a very young age. After his father was murdered, at 336 BC he became king of Macedonia even if he was only 20 years old. Two years later in 334 BC he gathered a large army of almost 60.000 men and marched for Persia. The rest is history... After beating the Persian army,he had bigger plans.We went all the way to India. He won almost every single war he gave. His health, however, began to faint , while the death of Hephaestus which his best friend cost him a lot. Alexander left his last breath in Babylon in 323 BC. ,being only 32 years old. When Alexander died, the huge state he had created was divided to his generals, although for many years they had disagreements...
