Quite the opposite I would say...after 17 months and I still consider myself to be new around here. And that's because every single day you learn something new when you are on Steem. It could be a technical info or a new function or something that was right there for a long time but they didn't pay much attention to it. The thing is that being part of steem isn't exactly piece of cake. During my time here, I have only experienced one hard fork. HF20. Well, maybe more HF's have happened during January 2018 when I officially became a member...but I guess I didn't even know what I was doing the first few months here. ### _So...let's talk about HF20..._ Not much to say....probably the word **chaos** can describe what took place better than I will. Just like that RC's were implemented...and unless someone had a significant amount of steem vested, they were unable to do anything for almost a full week. And yet, a few months later here we are...talking about a new HF that is about to take place -where I accidentally found out- And this time, we are talking about drastic changes... 50% - 50% rewards for content creators and curators respectively is probably the number one priority in the upcoming HF. When I first heard about this proposal a few weeks ago it was a YES from me. You see the system is kinda broken and we need to do something about that. But the more you dig about the potential outcomes of this idea...the least I can say is that they are horrible. We all want steem to thrive, correct? We all agree that we need many more users who will contribute daily with new content. So let's assume that he had 100K new users here by tomorrow. How much time do you think they will need before they realize that they are doomed to receive pennies as payouts? (the price of steem doesn't help too). And yet, we are trying to make a halving to these pennies.... Will you vote more if you are about to receive 100% more curation rewards? Will the whales do? What stops people from doing the exact same thing now? The fact that instead of 0.3 steem as curation reward will turn into 0.6? Is that really the reason? How all those who posses less than 500SP will be benefited from that? Their curation rewards are one way or the other close to zero...but wait...their payouts are close to zero too, right? So fuck them...as long as we are cool...right? WRONG. If we want thousands of new users to enter steem we must make things easier for them. More attractive. But the only thing we are doing is to make thing worse...day after day. The right order is: a) **content creators** b) **curators** c) **investors** If there weren't content creators, all these steem tokens that investors are holding wouldn't had been mined in the first place. As for the curators....they wouldn't know where to cast their votes on... Small accounts are the ones that keep producing and are the majority of content creation. The vast majority, yet we act like we don't care about the 90%+ of the daily active users...or the ones that we have desperately been waiting to join... How about to make suggestions on how that 90%+ will be benefited for once????? Fell free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
