Why Quokkas Smile
Although the plush toy hear might look stoic, the quokka is known for its smile. Every 27 days they make another little Joey. Their breeding season is always.

# The Hump

Like a camel stores water in it's hump, the quokka stores fat in its tail. They can go without food or water for a long time They enjoy sleeping during the day in dense forests and hang out at night in small trees and shrubs. This one has a party every time I go to sleep. That's the thing about quokkas, they love to be with friends.

# The baby

The baby Joey gets to enjoy life in its mother's pouch for six months. Maybe this is why Quokkas just have a permanent smile. It is a popular animal to take a selfie with. I really wouldn't know.

My own kids are like Quokkas. They are up all night. They spend long periods of the day sleeping and in the evenings they like to hang out with friends. The Quokkas leave the pouch after six months. My kids seem to never leave the nest. They also have a strange smile and people want to take a selfie with them. I wonder were my kids actually quokkas in a distant past?
