There are numerous movies and series we watch, we love, and whenever a sequel, prequel, or anything related to that comes out we jump in with lots of enthusiasm and expectations. Sometimes they do meet them or sometimes they don't. Often we don't judge them with the iron rules, just get content with whatever they offer. [Image Source](https://bekasi.pikiran-rakyat.com/entertainment/amp/pr-125318330/orphan-first-kill-kapan-tayang-berikut-spoiler-film-horror-dan-daftar-pemerannya) Orphan: First Kill is a prequel to Orphan which came out in 2009, both of them served in the thriller genre. This prequel is directed by William Brent Bell. On the story section with two others, there is Alex Mace, who was in the previous one too with the same role. Do you know what I was really hyped for? In 2009, Isabelle Fuhrman was 12 and played the role of Esther there, where she was pretending to be someone nine years old. Now, after so many years, most probably 13 years later, she is back again with the same character, and on top of that to show the story of her past. Was waiting eagerly to see her look and performance to ride us back. And yeah, she did well, met my expectations. So let's jump into the story, whoever has watched Orphan, knows the twist, knows how Esther is and her story, and this time we are going to go one step back in her life. It May contain spoilers if you haven't watched Orphan (2009) already. As we all know, her real identity, her true self so we were just waiting for a sympathetic ride to see her havoc, her destruction, her survival. This time it started at a mental hospital and she was one of the most critical patients there, named Leena. Somehow she escapes from there and then we see how she enters into a family. Russian asylum, fire in a family, orphanage, we know what happened in her past, and now it's time to visualize and experience some of the other things. This time another family in America, who lost their daughter four years back. But you know, there is a tiny twist too, hehe, I didn't see that coming. I was being sympathetic but on knowing that it faded away, hehe. But trust me, it's no way near the twist we got to experience in the first one, I repeat I was so terrified with the whole thing with the previous one that I got nothing of that sort here. Well, just a few brutal scenes, a few murders that you might be prepared for. In the first one, we see her turning from the innocent to the devil and here we would see the opposite, she would be becoming an innocent from the devil, innocent at the end to connect the dots we had experienced before. Ummm, I would say it was good, not bad. If I were to compare it with the first one then I would say that the 2009 one served me way more than that, I was totally amazed and thrilled. This one is celebrating the success of that and so we should go for it too. I was expecting more but didn't disappoint. Won't rate it, told the reasons already at the beginning of the writing, so if you are planning to watch then make that happen soon, Happy Watching.
