A lot can change if you turn your phone upside down

Now a days, many of us cannot think for a moment without our mobile phones. While eating, chatting with friends, even before going to bed—the screen is always next to us. But have you ever thought, how much can change if you keep your phone upside down?

I am speaking from my own experience before, whenever I sat somewhere, I would keep my phone facing forward. Suddenly, when someone sent me a message, my eyes would go to that screen. It also happened that a friend was sitting next to me and I laughed at a meme that he didn't see. A kind of invisible distance would be created.

Now I do this if I don't really need my phone, I put it aside. And if I have to keep it in front of me, I turn the screen down. A small habit, but its impact is huge.

## It also saves a little battery

One good thing about keeping the phone face down is that the screen doesn't light up repeatedly. Many times, even when a small notification comes, the light comes on, and my eyes go that way. This not only loses focus, but also drains the battery little by little.

I see how many different notifications come in a day group chats, apps, various alerts. If everything flashes on the screen, then the phone also becomes annoying. So it's better to keep the phone upside down.

## It seems the person in front of me is really important?

Another thing I really believe in if someone is sitting in front of me, they should understand that I am with them. When I keep the phone in front of me, my eyes go away again and again, the screen lights up, and my mind goes somewhere else.

If I am talking to someone, I want them to feel I am here, with all my attention. The phone will always be there. The real thing is to give the person time.

## The phone should not pull me

My phone is bigger than before, the screen is brighter. I have been feeling it since I got the new phone, it attracts a little more. YouTube, Instagram, news everything should pull me. So I try a little when I don't need it, I keep the phone out of sight.

Just doing one small thing putting the screen down, I feel like I am regaining control of myself again.

## Finally, I will say this…
The phone will always be by our side, but if we want, we can decide when it will come in front and when it won't. I've learned this much - when I'm with someone, just putting the phone away for a while keeps the relationship beautiful and keeps the focus right.
