The book of Psalms is filled with verses that express trust in God's protection and deliverance from afflictions. 

Psalm 34:17 states 

>"The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles." Similarly, 

>Psalm 37:39-40 says "The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him." 

These verses and many others like them express the belief that God will save and protect those who trust in him from difficulties and afflictions.

Another important concept in the Bible related to salvation from afflictions is the idea of redemption. The Bible teaches that all human beings are sinners and fall short of God's standards. 

However, through faith in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice on the cross, individuals can be forgiven and reconciled to God, and thus be saved from the afflictions of sin and death. John 3:16 states "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

It's important to note that the Bible's teachings on salvation from afflictions and redemption are central to Christianity, but different denominations and individuals may interpret these teachings differently. It's also important to keep in mind that everyone has their own personal beliefs, and the above information is just one perspective.


In addition to the verses I've already mentioned, there are many other passages in the Bible that discuss the idea of God saving and protecting his people from afflictions. For example, Isaiah 43:2 states 

>"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." 

This verse expresses the idea that God will be with his people and protect them even in the midst of difficult and dangerous situations.

Another example is found in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 which says 

>"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." 

This verse teaches that God comforts his people in their afflictions and difficulties, and that they can also share that comfort with others.

The Bible also teaches that afflictions and difficulties can serve a purpose in shaping and maturing us as Christians. For example, James 1:2-4 says 

>"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." This verse suggests that through enduring afflictions and difficulties with faith, we can become more mature and complete in our faith.

It's also important to note that the Bible teaches that we should pray to God for help in times of affliction and difficulty. 

Matthew 7:7 says 

>"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." 

This verse encourages us to turn to God in prayer when we are facing afflictions, and that he will answer our prayers in his way and time.
