Smatree 3-Way Arm Video Review, And a Little BTS Thought
*For some reason every time I set up a camera and turn it to look at me, I become extremely shy. So today I decided to overcome that fear and record this very not-in-depth review of the Smatree Alluminium Foldable 3-Way Selfie Stick for the GoPro.*

The Smatree selfie stick is flexible, serves a lot of purposes in suspending/holding the camera in different positions. Other than that I think this is a bit over-priced considering how inferior the material used is. Below I go into a little bit detail on the pros and cons of this 3-way arm.

As a little extra, I am showing a couple BTS photos of my set up for the video recording. This is about using the available equipment (my tiny camera in this case) to perform a little more optimally, to help us create better content.

One reason I couldn't record a video of myself for so long (apart from being a shy person) is that not enough light gets into my study even when I open it all up. The green walls absorb the little that is let in. So I set up my phone camera light to act as main light, while the room ambience light filled it up. Also, with my selfie stick/3-way arm now bad, I had to improvise a way to hold the camera in position. I employed a few laundry pegs there, to attach it to the edge of my laptop screen. And of course I had that queue notepad in the background.

It isn't the best lit shot, but it sure delivered better that what I could get otherwise. My next project will be to build a 800-watt fluorescent video light, Griffin Hammond style. Also, as replacement to Smatree, I am going to try out a few GoPole accessories, starting with the "scenelapse."

I hope this was informing. Let me know what you think.
