Scalea è una delle città più antiche della provincia di Cosenza, in Calabria. Le sue origini risalgono ai Longobardi e ai Bizantini che dominavano il territorio.
Il centro storico è dominato dalle rovine del castello normanno che fu costruito nel XI secolo.
È possibile ammirare tre torri: la Torre Talao, la Torre Cimalonga e la Torre di Giuda.
Scalea è oggi un'importante destinazione balneare, ci sono molti hotel e villaggi turistici lungo la costa.
***Cose da vedere:*** il centro storico di origine medievale, le rovine del castello normanno, Torre Talao, l'Isola Dino, Torre Cimalonga.

Scalea is one of the oldest towns in the province of Cosenza, in Calabria. The origins of Scalea date back to the Lombards and Byzantines who dominated the territory.
The Historical center is dominated by the ruins of the Norman castle that was built in the XI century.
Is marked by three towers: the Talao Tower, Cimalonga Tower and The Judas Tower.
Scalea is today an important seaside destination, there are many hotels and touristic village along the coast.
***Thing to see:*** the medieval old town, the ruins of the Norman castle, Talao Tower, Dino Island, Cimalonga Tower
