Alejandro had become a hermit, he lived in the mountains and only went down to the village for food and whatever he needed to stay in his cabin as long as possible. 

He had lost his wife and his only son several years ago, and to overcome his pain he wanted to find himself again in solitude, accompanied only by his dog Nero, a golden retriever with whom he loved to go hunting.

Alejandro had a vegetable garden, he was good with tomatoes, tubers and oranges, when he harvested he went to the local market to offer his products or to exchange them for something he needed, although he felt he needed less and less.

He had served in the army, so he was pensioned, and although it did not represent much money, he rarely went to the bank to withdraw, in fact he had become unsociable. The truth is that Alejandro was trying to make do with what he had and what he produced; his dream was to never have to come down from the mountain again.

One ordinary day, when he was hunting with Nero, he got a burrow, so he ordered Nero to look for the rabbits since they were not there, his faithful dog was a few meters away when he started barking outrageously, his bark was different, so he hurried to get there....

He could not believe his eyes, it was a hybrid creature, it had the head of an eagle and the body of a rabbit, what they called a wolpertinger in the books he had read in his school days.

Alejandro saw that the animal was crouching, and it didn't take him long to realize that it was wounded in one leg, so he took off his jacket to grab it, because when he made a first attempt, the creature attacked him with its beak.

He took it home, not to eat it but to heal it, he named it ***wolper*** and took care of it for about four weeks, when he realized that it had healed he went with Nero to take it to the place where they had gotten it.

He never told anyone about the creature he had gotten, who would believe him anyway, people would think he was crazy. 

One afternoon while he was watching the sunset with his faithful Nero, in the distance he saw a family of rabbits approaching, what was his surprise? It was ***Wolper***.
