It’s much nicer,
for me
To have a few reliable memories,
than an infinite quantity of lovely concepts floating around inside my head.

I think that’s why I always return places
—like paris,
or anywhere else I might have felt something.
If I don’t solidify my memories in their completion,
I will romanticize the good.
& demonize the ugly.
— this is how my life has formed my brain to function.

I won’t settle for it, anyways.
I want to learn your more complex realities,
world
— there are dark alley-ways in the city of light and there’s a lot of laughter in my parents’ kitchen and that’s all painfully confusing to a brain like mine.

—trying to adapt to my ever-changing reality.

&
humans take a lot of « meeting » to begin to understand.

Ps.

Emotions are so confusing, all I can do is thank the universe for giving me all it has, and new music from Mac Miller after I thought that might never happen again.
