The World Has become a global village. We are connected to each other with the help of internet. We daily use the internet we send messages, voice recordings, videos and photos and any kind of data through the internet. We Just use the internet ever you imagined that how big and vast is the internet?

This Question Is really very difficult to answer. No one can give you the exact answer. The vastness of the internet can be just imagined as we imagine universe. As we are still not able to imagine the universe in the same way we are not able to imagine the vastness of the internet.

It's Been said if a man has 80 years of age on average and he spends every second of life while using the internet with the fastest possible speed. Still, he can not suffer the 15% of the total internet. This is just imagination.


Internet Progressed much faster than any other platform like Television and radio etc. After many years of invention, TV has 1 billion users but the internet has four times more than TV.

As I have told you that it is not possible to tell exact numbers on the internet. We can Just Imagine. There are **1,228,173,000** websites on the internet created so far with **5.5 billion** web pages.This number is increasing every second.This a huge number. There are **3,750,000,000** Internet USers on the planet. That is almost the 50% of the earth populations. If the number of users is very big, imagine the data traffic created by all the users.**50,000 GB** Data traffic is produced by all the users per second. This is the number of GBs Produced per second there are 36000 Seconds in a Data Imagine the number **50,000 * 3,6000** In a day.Internet Traffic has been Reached 1 Zettabyte in 2016.

The Biggest social media platform is Facebook. Facebook has **2 Billion** Active Users per day. An average user spends 20 minutes on Facebook daily. **300 million** photos are posted on Facebook. In 2000 We just clicked **86 million** photos in the whole year. Compare today's numbers with 2000. 

Youtube is at number two. **300-minutes** videos are uploaded on youtube per minute. And **70,129** views per second. **62,000** Searches are made on Google Per second. **2,609,000** Emails are sent in one second. 7,695 Tweets are made in One second. 800 Posts are made on Instagram Per second. These Numbers are Growing Day by day as the users of the internet is increasing.

These numbers are huge but this is a very small bit of internet. These are statistics of that internet that is accessible to normal users. Just 4% of the Internet is in the access of normal users other 96% percent is not accessible to the normal user. That 96% contains porn, illegal activities and academic data and governments data.If all the porn and illegal data removed then the total internet would have been ceased.

Our Production Of Data is Increasing Day By Day. In 2013 It was Just 4 Zettabyte and it is expected that the data production will be reached at 180 zettabytes till 2025.

As the user is in big numbers. A lot of energy is consumed for the continuous working of the internet. 70 Billion Kwh energy is consumed to keep power up the internet.It is been said that till 2040 we will not be able to power up our computing devices.
