Today is the second anniversary of Brexit. 2 years on from the vote to leave the European Union (EU) what have we learned?
One thing is certain. The pound is considerable weaker against the U.S. dollar as we can see from this [Source 3 year chart](https://www.chartoasis.com/gbp-usd-forex-chart-3-years-cop0/)

But what else do we know?

<h3>Well the truth is. We know absolutely nothing</h3>

Two years of failed negotiations has left everyone more in the dark than when this thing started.

The British Prime Minister David Cameron who got us into this mess has disappeared of the face of the earth. 
It was his election pledge to give the British public a vote on whether to stay in Europe or leave?

He then went around the country trying to persuade people to vote to 'stay in' the EU? and in some ways he may have been the catalyst for peoples resentment of him and the conservative party that swayed them to vote to leave. 
Maybe they thought they were getting rid of him. God he was hopeless.
Along with the load of misleading and erroneous advertising again by the conservative party that everything would be great when we left?

Not to mention the role that Cambridge Analytica had to do with manipulating the masses on social media by mining and exploiting their innermost fears. 

There has always been a strong xenophobic element in British society. The conservative party tapped into those fears and exploited those fears with no consideration to the beast they were unleashing.
It got to the point that people felt that they couldn't even talk about the subject.

<h3>One way to consider this whole scenario is to think about. "who stands to benefit" from our exit from Europe?</h3>

Unless we can have an honest and open debate about the future of this country. We are doomed to be lions led by donkeys.
