A few months ago we were in the Cumbrian mountains in the north of England. 

Here are some more photos taken from the pleasure cruise we took on Lake  Windermere that didn't make it into the earlier posts.

This first image below with the large cloud over the mountains covered with the very colourful heather stood out to me with the sun rays highlighting the purple and orange heathers.

I was playing around with the depth of field of the camera and liked the way the waterfall in the distance below and how it caught the sun.

This photo below is one of a series that I took of this rainbow. It was visible for about 15 minutes which was pretty amazing. I like the way the foreshore is almost in silhouette.

 All of the above photos were taken using a Sigma 30 mm art lens and it was interesting to see how much detail this wide angle lens would pick up. Being on a moving platform (the boat) was a bit tricky.
