# Hello Hive https://i.imgur.com/VpK8EcI.jpg Edited on Canva There is alot to learn and understand whenever a new person makes his way into the hive Blockchain. First for a newbie it is well taught that without a small Hive power delegation from existing hivers, the newbie won't be able to make a post or do anything on the Blockchain. Hence a quick look at my wallet will show the number of individual accounts from different newbies whom I have delegated to over time. This is a strong support system for them to get their blogs started. Choosing not to support newbies with delegations means that not many people will make it far on hive and the adoption and visibility hive needs will dwindle. 8k HP is a huge amount to delegate out but this will be adjusted soon as I got to the certain amount of goals set to accumulate some community token via delegation. Delegation is the easiest way to earn some expensive community token and having a good amount of HP has been helpful. Another case use of Hive power is for community support. Most communities on hive are thriving well, supporting their community members with curation from alot of hivers. If I am right at least a hundred thousand Hive power is needed to curate a post to $1, To be able to vote at least $10 on a post a community account will need at least 1million HP in possession or delegation, not sure if these numbers have changed though. If we all have noticed that it is easier to see that communities that gives out quality votes on their members posts have higher numbers of active members. Community members needs a curation support on their blogs for those who are after the financial gains. Regardless we still have some who are passionate about the blogging who would still post in communities without upvotes. # Who to delegate Hive power to. Choosing to delegate hive power to any curation trail on hive is dependent on a choice of either we are after the financial benefits delegating to curation trail that will bring out higher returns or to support smaller communities to build their HP. For one or various reasons I have delegated to different community and curation trail not forgetting that I equally need some amounts of the HP too to support some hivers and quality contents I wish to manually curate. The delegation to @leovoter is so as to earn some Leo tokens a layer two token I have wished to stakes and invest in. This is why it is necessary to have enough HP as it enable one to be able to be a good support system or delegate to communities which results in a direct return in the community token. This way we can stake, diversify and earn as much tokens from different community Another fast growing gaming community on hive @holozing ing received a good amount of delegation from me as one of the means to earn the community token. All the other communities that I support receives less than 200HP worth of delegation from me. # Hive curation trail . For @terganftp who has asked about who we can delegate to to get the maximum ROI payments (% percentage payout), this is something that varies from one community to another. Some give back a 100% payout on whatever amount you delegate to them while others go for 85% or less based on their community rules and reward pattern. Some communities have received large amount of delegations for instance a 40% upvote on a post by ocd can give out as much as $40 on a post, anyone anyone following Ocd curation trail might receive better payout compared to a community that voted less and a lower amount of HP in possession (Both in owners account or in delegation). An assumption I feel may be right, I'm open to correction though. Here is one way to find out * Visit hive curation trail page here. https://hive.vote/dash.php * Delegate to different community trail a certain thesame amount of HP and percentage vote * Check out your payout after a week of delegation. Some voting trails have a way of picking and curating very quality post hence I follow a few of them while I also engage in manual curation if I equally come across quality blogs. Hence it is a personal matter and decision to decide which curation/delegation system to follow based on if one is after supporting hive ecosystem or after personal gains of higher return yield.
