# Hello Hive  Merry Christmas to to everyone in the family. Am so happy and I hope that we have received as much joy and happiness from this season. It has been a wonderful celebration here, the weather has managed to stay within 17°C and despite the fact that this is nothing compare to other places where they are witnessing a negative degree temperature, this is quite cold for me since we are used to very high temperature around here. We had lots of food to eat and families came around visiting, it was so much fun and we felt the love among ourselves.  (Mind you there is no zipper at the back yet that's why its looking loss at the front) I managed to sew myself a new outfit for Christmas, haha. Remember the Natalie Bray's pattern I decided to try working in last week in my post here https://peakd.com/hive-127911/@monica-ene/pattern-making-methods-of-dress This is the result.  The upper bodice was cut using size ii from that pattern. I studied the book as a standard pattern for designing cloths them use the worked out pattern to cut my outfit.  A black fabric was what I was working with but since it is meant to be used for christmas celebration and I need it to be a bit colorful I added the African print fabrics. Making this a mixture of pattern and plain outfit. I used the pattern fabric for the gathered sleeves and base of skirt.    This time around I was able to figure out the type of sleeves I wanted for my outfit, but the neckline has remain a challenge for me... I didn't want anything plain. Maybe a collar neck, a round or jewel neck am still in dilemma. The neckline was the reason I couldn't wear this yesterday for the celebration. Let me see if P interest can give me a neckline inspiration.   The most important aspect is that I got the pattern well and the fitting of the dress which was my main focus.
