# Hello Needlework and Craft family. Having thought about how our lifestyles has an influence in our progress with our career, work, education and all of life's endeavor, I have recently learnt how that a change in our mindset, thoughts lifestyle, emotions time management and some so many virtue can give us a push towards becoming outstanding in our various field. I want to say that all of these have moved me to effect some change in the manner I handle my works, chores and even fashion designing skill. Having a heap of abandon project is not a good sign for a designer in the making. We have to work out every design till the end in order to see the beauty of our creativity. Only then will one be able to determine if you have achieved your aim to sew an outfit in the first place. Probably I wanted to learn a new thing cutting a particular fabric, not working out the project till the end means that I haven't learnt the lesson behind cutting such outfits. By mid this year I had thought that the tones of my WIP will have decreased or be death with but unfortunately it seems that I haVe succeeded in doubling the heap. Hence I wanted to continue the remaining part of the year with more determination towards my design work and so many other activities I am involved in. A change in thought, lifestyle and physical activities might push me closer to my dreams and goals in life. This blouse was supposed to be ready for Christmas meaning it is overdue for 7months now been in the middle of another year. I couldn't complete this then because after mixing the pattern material with white underlying I didn't like the outcome. I desired something brighter and tried to buy the pink silk under lining to several months. ---- Starting my resolution to work with it I had eventually bought the fabric. Took me plenty of patience to rip out the blouse entirely having sewn a very tight stitch earlier. Next I had cut a sweetheart design for the front underlining. While silk was proving difficult to turn the necklines I added some paper stay here a trick that will be useful for anyone trying to sew silk. Hence I was able to turn the necklines better. Hope you will remember this trick when sewing the neckline or important aspect with silky or fabrics giving you concern when working Next I had cut the flair and sleeves, sewing everything together the blouse has come to life. Next is the collar that will be purely pink just like the base of the sleeve but it unfortunately got burnt while I was ironing and having run out of the pink fabric I might have to visit the store to purchase more. Part will be used for the collar and the rest will be worked into a cap, turban or anything useful. # And that's my paper pattern for the collar. On a final note I felt a bit depressed that my skills aren't improving having learnt fashion designing for a while now. I have been saddled with too much work and responsibility and had placed this my real passion of sewing on hold. Making a time table and including enough sewing time in additional with limiting other less important activities will help me practice more. I am desperate to own a brand name and a fashion business of my own and working with my old self and mentality will keep me far away from achieving my goals. I made a resolution to always make sure that I sew an outfit to completion before cutting any other fabric , hence I must getting the collar done before embarking on any other project. It's a brand new week and I wish us a pleasant morning and beautiful week ahead. πβ€πΊπ»πΌπ·π²ππ³
