Arsene Wenger, having seen how his image and popularity amongst the boardroom staff and the management heirarchy of Arsenal F.C. - not to mention the Club Fans who constitute a major slice of the club's stakeholder percentile - is fast dwindling, and had gone into the future just like "Flash" envisaged his imminent sacking by his employers, decides to play a fast one on them in a sort of, "E ní bá yára l'ògún n gbè" fashion to call it quit by season-end. It is noteworthy that he recently extended his contract by two years and he is just into a year down the agreement. Baba's backup at the roundtable meetings is fast winding-off. He has lost series of backup supports. His reposing trust in Arsenal Chief Executive, Ivan Gazidis, is fast going down the drain. So is the latter's to him. He then tought about his bandied failure over 18-years to win another Champions League, sorry, Premier League silverware. He thought about the fans and how he would had "k'owo mo'ra bi ato'le" just like a Secondary School Pupil would do upon discovering that he had, yet again, failed Mathematics again in a WASSCE Examination Result and is wondering how he would deal with the tedious job of showing his parents such result at home. Wenger thought about all these and decided to eschew his role and leave while the ovation is loudest as this w(sh)ould further boost his boisterously glittering credentials and still leave him at the mercy of some other top European Clubs whom are expected to seek after his signature to takeup a role with them. Well, as an undisappointed Arsenal supporter, I hail him on his decision to end his 22-year, long-overdue reign as the Gunners Manager which has left him as the longest serving Principal oga in the English top flight - until at least the end of the season when he shall take a bow. Having wished him so well in his further coaching endeavors, I take a futuristic glance at Arsenal as a whole, whose structure shall be changed entirely after the Frenchman's season-end departure. And what did I see? I see Arsenal having immediate crises on and off the pitch at first, before later regaining momentum and that's the more reason why I cannot vouch for Thierry Henry's success if he considers taking the tedious job of restructuring his old club. O ju ojo Ori e lo fa! Albeit, one might argue that "But he has since gotten his coaching badge now?" Yes, that's true but nonetheless, he should however keep calm and keep acting in an Assistant Role as he presently does under Belgium's Roberto Martinez. He should garner more exposure cum experience and come back as a Legend Player turned Coach just like Zinedine Zidane did with with Los Blanco's Real coming atop Carlo Ancelotti. This is my advise for Henry. However, on a more lighter note, though Arsene would be missed a bit in terms of structuring, but it would be much more amusing, the fact that there would at least be a new lease, a fresh breathe of life at the Emirates after a wholesomely monotonous years of Top Four Premier League spots. Indeed, Arsene Wenger iss a go! HE MUST GO!
