I bought molds to make mini pots.
In four months or maybe five🤔 my niece will participate again in the shark tank competition at her school, this time we are not going to let anyone get ahead with the project of the mini pots of cactus and succulents, that's why I decided to buy molds to make some pots so that when the time comes for the competition she already has everything ready before, the idea came up because I bought this small pot and we liked it.

I also liked the idea, and as I am a very cool guy I ordered the molds to work with, I will make her pots and she will decorate them, although at the end of the day I will have to put the little succulents in the pots, but as I said, I am a cool guy and it doesn't matter the investment or the time, what matters is to see her happy.

I am not an expert on the subject, in fact I will be learning as I make some pots, what I did think would be necessary is to put something like oil or vaseline to prevent the concrete from sticking to the mold.

For the concrete I used a white color to which I added red coloring, the mixture took on a pinkish color, so I think my niece will like the color, but this is just a test, I plan to get more colors and also make some in white so she can use her creativity to decorate the pots.

When I filled the molds I realized that I didn't put anything to create the drainage hole for the water, so I had to improvise with some small stones to which I put Vaseline so they don't stick, it is likely that the idea doesn't work, but as I say, I'm testing and surely tomorrow I'll do better.

To finish I want you to see this graft, it is a rebutia perplexa, it was a gift that I got about two weeks ago when I bought the ariocarpus, when I got it I had no offspring, but in these two weeks they have grown like crazy, I think it has 10 at the moment, I just hope it also begins to give flowers.

And since I'm talking about grafting, I decided to start doing some, in this case I took a small offspring of my damaged cactus, the one that gives the orange flower Lobivia arachnacantha and grafted it on an Echinopsis eyriesii of the 100 I got the other day that I separated the whole colony, in a couple of months we will see if I succeeded.

In this other graft I took an Echinopsis eyriesii and grafted it onto pereskiopsis, this with the intention of seeing if I can stimulate the cactus to produce flower, since as you may remember it has only filled with offspring but no flower, and I really want to see what color it will produce, if any.

This week I am free, I finally finished changing the substrate to all my plants, now the mix is 90% mineral and 10% organic, I will be fertilizing with fertigation every 15 days, for the moment the dose that I manage is still low because I don't want to make the mistake of killing the roots of my cactus and succulents, maybe next year when I have more experience and my plants are better adapted to their pots I will increase the dose and we will see what happens, for the moment this is all.
