To all fellow gamers and Hivers do you still remember this?? <center></center> Photo Source: [Steampowered](https://store.steampowered.com/app/240/CounterStrike_Source/) > *Counter strike: Source is an OG first person shooter game in my time way back 2004 on it's released computer shops in the philippines will be pack of people who love this game kids, teenagers, middle age, even old people used to rock in this game.* <hr> Apart from the popularity of DOTA 1 a well known MOBA game of that time Counter strike:source became it's rival in both popularity and rating. Giving credits to its developers and publisher Valve and Turtle engine for making this incredible OG game for peeple to enjoy in the earlier days. In my opinion I considered this game to be the father of all first person shooter games which inspired more similar games like Crossfire, Special force, Call of duty, Valorant, and many more.  <sup>*Screenshots of actual gameplay*</sup> Counter Strike was even more exciting when Steam a powerful gaming platform helped making it's online version. Not to mention Counter Strike: Global Offensive was released on 2012 the gameplay was re-developed on 2023 to reach it's highest potential in competing the higher ends of gaming era and popularity. On 2023 the Valve developer community of Valve Corporation created Counter Strike 2 which can be played for free on Steam. Upon mentioning my excitement of playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare remastered on my previous blog I wanna share today how amazed I was on trying out this game. It was a long time ago when I dream't of having my own PC where I build my first Computer it was a 2007 model of Pentium Silver series which is already enough for the old version of Counter Strike. After, graduating college I manage to earn enough money to build my very first mid range specs computer to help me play my dream games it was an achievement for my end since I worked hard to reward myself with what I have now. I used to ask for pennies with my parents just to play games in our local computer shops, here in the Philippines you may also find lots of friends just by staying inside a shop for hours. I used to be very competitive playing most games in my millenial era now I just play games for fun but it did not stop me from healing a lot of my childhood.  <sup>*Screenshots of actual gameplay*</sup> Going back to my topic once I started logging into my steam account I downloaded the actual game in my PC. What you see here is my game's homepage where I have nothing but all the basic gear and neccesities of my character since I am new to this game I practiced a lot playing with bots before I try playing PVP mode. I was surprised how much of the old version you can experience in this game well it's not the same as the old one but what's more appealing is that the type of mental and logical ideas you have in this version is way more competitive than the OG one's. As I say I manage to play but for now I kept practicing the mechanics for me to be ready.  *Screenshots of actual gameplay* Parallel to Counter Strike: Source they still have the same two factions which is the terrorist and counter-terrorist. I picked Counter-terrorist since I love defending. ||| |-|-| |Terrorists|Counter-terrorists| <sup>*Screenshots of actual gameplay*</sup> Both sides have the same amount of arsenals, the weapons are very much alike except for it's main ones like as for the usual the CT have their OG gun the M4AI Carbine rifle, while the T have the classic AK-47 both good for headshots and precision.  Chosen map was the infamous DE DUST 2 where all skilled players are well know to enhance their gameplay. Same mechanics this mode was to defend A site and B site for potential bomd threat from the terrorist side.  <sup>*Screenshots of actual gameplay*</sup> Same task you need to buy your weapons with the amount of in-game cash you earn from playing (*cash cannot be converted to real time money outside the gameplay*), at first I was very anxious how this game is different from the other ones but when I actually experience it I was relieve how much happiness you will feel.  <sup>*Screenshots of actual gameplay*</sup> This game surely bring backs a lot of childhood memories.
