A lot of lessons learned in 2023
<div class=text-justify>

There are so many lessons I've learned this year. This year happens to be a very good year with lots of lessons.

**My first lesson is to never be afraid to do anything, whether new or not**. This year I went to camp, which is NYSC camp (National Youth Service Corps). I never prepared for it, but when I got there, I met so many things that caught my attention. I've never coached volleyball before, and I was a bit scared because of the fact that I would be training ladies. Well, since no one is ready to take the task, I take it.

Remember I said I'd never done this volleyball coaching before? It was touchy at the beginning, but then I was so happy I did it. After everything, I received glory, and I was even compensated. From that day on, I never got scared to try anything new. It gives me the confidence to be able to handle any situation.

**Building quality relationships with people** is another lesson that I learned this year. I realized that the relationship we build today will be what we and our children will see as opportunity and connection tomorrow. By the way, it is so nice to know who you are building a strong relationship with. People that will add value to your life—people that you can call when you are down—are the type of relationships we can build. There's a clear difference between knowing people and building quality relationships with them.

**Put yourself first.**
I'm this kind of person who always likes to appreciate people and love them so dearly. I forget to love myself and be there for myself. There are people who will take you for granted just because you are kind. To avoid that, you must be there for yourself first; you must show kindness to yourself and love yourself so dearly.
Don't believe it can't happen to you.
This is another lesson I learned this year. It is so good to be humble and nice. I never think I can become the president of my CDs; I mean, I never see it coming. All I'm doing is doing my best and being so active in all I'm doing, but then I was noticed for my actions, which I did not believe, and I became the president and did well in my regime. My point is that I never for once thought I would be a leader there; all I was doing was my best, but then my best was noticed.
Lastly, I've learned to be able to control myself, be more patient, and reduce my anger. So far, so good. This is because, as a leader, you must be able to manage your anger. This year was a good one for me, and I'm happy I was able to learn a lot.
