The idea of a lightning network, an off-chain solution to the scaling problem to help conduct many peer-to-peer transactions quickly before applying the final result to the on-chain Blockchain has been an idea and technique discussed within the crypto community for a long time.  But now we're seeing tons of implementations of this and I wanted to get you quickly up to speed with some real life demo implementations.

[@JackMallers](https://twitter.com/JackMallers) has been working on his [Zap Lightning wallet](https://zap.jackmallers.com/) for quite some time.  I've been following his development and it's coming along quite nicely.  He has a playlist of demos using the wallet. Check it out:
