I am currently waiting for my application letter, as it is necessary for the procedures I can do, such as courses or training while I wait for my degrees, as well as any work I may have. However, without the degree, it is unlikely that I will be able to join the professional association and my federation. This is the life of a psychologist or graduate upon completion, but it does not mean that there are no options. In my case, apart from creating content on Hive, I am currently volunteering at the outpatient clinic where I did my clinical internships. I really liked the work environment and the people I worked with, so I offered to continue on a voluntary basis and they accepted me. This volunteer work consists of coming in, in my case, on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the week, when I attend and consult at the clinic for as long as the institution needs me or until I can no longer continue, at least that was the agreement, haha. This, in turn, allows me to continue my professional experience without interruption, while continuing to do my bit for the clinic and the patients by providing free psychological care ❤️ Sometimes there are also days dedicated to community outreach or screening for mental health needs requested by an institution, but for the most part, the majority of the work is focused on caring for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Sometimes there are also opportunities for us to socialize, such as today, when one of the auditors from Yacambu University concluded her evaluation period and, on her last day, offered a meal for the entire clinic team. Actualmente me encuentro en la espera de mi carta de postulación, ya que es necesario para los trámites que pueda hacer como cursos o formaciones mientras espero títulos, así como algún trabajo que pueda tener, sin embargo es poco probable sin el título para poder tener colegiatura y mi federación. Es la vida del psicólogo o el licenciado al terminar, sin embargo, no es quedarse sin opciones, en mi caso, estoy actualmente, aparte de crear contenido en Hive, de voluntario, en el Ambulatorio Tipo en donde hice mis pasantías Clínicas, de verdad me gustó mucho el ambiente laboral y las personas con quienes compartí, así que me ofrecí para continuar de manera voluntaria y me aceptaron. Este trabajo voluntario consiste en venir, en mi caso, en la semana los días martes y jueves, en que atiendo y paso consulta en el ambulatorio, durante el tiempo que la institución me necesite o en su defecto yo pueda continuar, al menos ese fue el acuerdo jajaja, esto a su vez a mi permite continuar con mi experiencia profesional sin pausa, y a su vez continuó aportando mi granito de arena al ambulatorio y a los pacientes en la atención psicológica gratuita ❤️ A veces también surgen jornadas en atención a comunidades o despistajes de alguna necesidad en temas de salud mental que una institución solicite, pero en su mayoría el mayor trabajo se concentra en la atención de pacientes de niños, niñas, adolescentes, adultos y adultos mayores. También a veces hay sus espacios de convivencia entre nosotros como este día en que una de las interventores de la Universidad Yacambu, cerró su periodo de evaluación de intervención y como último día, ofreció un compartir para todo el equipo del ambulatorio.
