# Everything that glitters isn't gold!!!!

Sometimes in life we get wrapped up and comfortable with the way things are.  Never once sitting to think and contemplate what could happen if things changed or you suddenly have to deal with an unexpected curveball.  In my life I have dealt with a lot of crazy things that seemed to fall out of the sky.  It has made me stronger and more resilient to hard times.  So when the chips fall the wrong way I'm able to handle the situation.  Not many people can deal with drastic change and shut down at the sight of any deviation to their normal routine. Adaptability is a tool we should all have in the bag.

# Humanity has come a long way from the cave days.

If you look back and think of some simple things we do today and compare it to how our ancient ancestors did it you would be amazed.  Child birth in the olden days was very dangerous at least that's what they say in the history books.  Now it's much safer to have a child and we have less women losing their life in labor.  Still our ancestors adapted to their enviornments in ways we would never want to today.  Imagine only taking a shower in a river etc etc you know what I mean.  

Technology just seems to be growing faster than they can make it.  Every week or day some breakthrough is happening somewhere on the globe and at this pace even the scientists are stumped.  The next 20 years is going to be interesting.  Communication is in my opinion going to be the thing most radically changed and bring in a whole new world of tech.  Right now at this very moment you are communicating with me via Steemit.  You can read this post and comment back to me and I can choose to reply to you.  Very powerful stuff when you add in the ability to earn while doing all this communicating.  The entire social media ecosystem is a huge powerful juggernaut.   Even more powerful than the traditional media used to be.  Why has this happened you think?  The traditional media controlled everything we saw and heard on tv and radio.  In comes the 90's with the internet and things started to changed rather quickly.  But things really changed when YouTube came out because they offered a sort of decentralized tv station.  Once YouTube gained popularity the entire world started to see things they had never been exposed to. One example is just the ordinary street fight with five or ten guys.  The news never showed anything like that but now you had access to it on the internet.  Where am I going with this you may ask? The internet media outlets have become more controlled with political agendas that have no place in a decentralized environment.  Controlling what gets seen and easily searchable.   

Which brings us to Steem the first Internet Media outlet that is truly decentralized and governed by its users.  I have seen some that would argue and say that things are unfair and none of us small fries will ever really matter.  I beg to differ and don't think these arguments will mean anything in five to ten years from now.  That is if we are all still here.  Since I been on Steemit I have seen people fall off the radar for whatever reason and I'm not here to judge anyone but just to remind you that this place is still revolutionary.  Facebook YouTube and Twitter isn't going to ever do what Steem has done for Me and at the same time they each posses something that Steem hasn't quite got yet.  Like the personal experience you get when you use Facebook.  Just imagine signing up for Steemit and you being able to instantly find any people you know with an account by entering some information.  I'm pretty sure these things can be implemented here who knows maybe with communities things like this can be made possible.  HF20 is poised to be great and I just can't wait until its ready.  

Don't take these statements as a knock on this place because like I said I wouldn't trade Steem for any other platform.  If you came here and expected a perfect paradise where you can easily earn tons money than you really came to the wrong place.  Now don't get me wrong everyone has the potential to earn big rewards but success doesn't happen overnight anywhere on this green earth without a little work.  The funny thing is that when it comes to Steemit we are not talking about back breaking work.  Just a little brain work.  Pick something you want to talk or write about and just go.  You can do as much research to make it more believable or just WRITE.  There's times that I write a short post and other times I write a longer one.  Somedays I feel like making a video or sharing a new music track I made.  The one thing I try not to do is NOT post.

I get this question a lot in comments or on discord and I usually get a little stumped when trying to answer it.  I honestly believe that some people on this site saw that I was genuine and not putting up a front.  So they supported me and I never stopped posting.  The most I've gone without posting is one or two days.  Usually because something in my life is happening.  But I have rarely missed a day since I have started.  I'm pretty sure if I wasn't dedicated to posting everyday I would have lost support long ago.  Like the first thing in this post says "Everything that glitters isn't gold" just because you earn good today doesn't mean you will earn good forever.  I used to get massive payouts consistently and believe me it was great but it was a roller coaster ride for sure.  I never knew which post would catapult to the moon.  So I'm used to the highs and lows of Steemit by now.  For the past month or two things have definitely slowed down a bit but its not gonna stop me from posting.  You shouldn't let anything stop you from expressing yourself here. Oh and by the way at the time of this post O have earned 10,105.182 Steempower. 

This post could make three bucks or maybe it could make 300 bucks or maybe I can purchase an upvote.  Whatever happens it's still thirty million times better than what I would get anywhere else.  So I'm gonna keep on truckin'!!!! Things will pick back up eventually when the price rises and by the time Steem hits 8 bucks again I will be happy that I never stopped posting.  If you can't roll with the punches of life things will get tough no matter what it is that you do.  It's  all about adaptability and being able to just keep it moving.  

# You want to know the secret to Steemit?
Okay I was gonna sell the secret for about 1000 SBD but I am going to give it to all who reads this for just a measily upvote.... Hahahaha..okay just kidding.  But here it is.....POST POST POST POST. And if that don't work just win the lotto and invest in SteemPower or maybe just liquidate all your savings and piggybank change and power it up!  Seriously though that is the big secret just keep on trying out different things until you see what works for you.  You Oare only allowed to give 10 100 percent upvotes a day but there really is not limit to how many posts you can make.  Of course making 10 good quality posts isn't going to be a walk in the park but its doable if you never sleep and do lots of uppers.  All I'm saying is that if you fail at one post try try again.  Stop whining and comparing yourself to other users.  It just doesn't help.  There are at least a million different ways to earn here you just have to find which one is for you.
