#### SMART BOUNCES
Shortly after the smartcash team made an announcement about the recent syncing issues caused by the zerocoin protocol and the attack on the network by a hacker that had managed to mint about 2.1 million SMARTs by exploting a vulnerability in the zerocoin protocol, sellers were driven out of the market by strong bids. It seems like the market has bottomed out and is now heading towards a new high. The team has patched the vulnerability up and has disabled the renew/reclaim feature until they can be sure that it is no longer vulnerable to such attacks. They also plan to burn 2.1 million coins from the SmartHive address in order to pay for the damage and keep the legitimate supply unchanged.

#### PIVX AND ZCOIN EXPERIENCE A SIMILAR ATTACK
PIVX and ZCOIN which also happen to be using the zerocoin protocol have gone under similar attacks. It is estimated that the attacker has managed to mint about 260K PIVX coins which is roughly about 800K USD worth of cryptocurrency based on today's price. This damage to PIVX is approximately 4 times more than the damage caused to SmartCash in USD as per of today's prices. Interestingly enough, both PIVX and ZCOIN have also bounced from their lows today after they too patched this vulnerability up and made anouncements. SmartCash however has had the biggest gain today; appx. 50% with a volume of over 200K USD. It is noteworthy that the SmartCash team was the first to announce the attack and the path forward and then PIVX and ZCOIN followed.

#### SMART LOOKS BULLISH
It looks like the market has taken the news pretty well and with rumours that the BTC hardfork this month may not go through to avoid further division in the community, bitcoin's rally seems to have stopped which has consequently relieved the pressure on altcoins in general. Regardless, SMART looks pretty bullish as far as I'm concerned. I would expect the price to break into new highs in the coming days or weeks. I personally believe the next top can be somewhere between 30 and 50 cents and then we should see another correction but definitely not as deep as the first one.
