The ancient man had been 'revived' through the analysis of his corpse's DNA. In a joint project, scientists drilled 2 mm holes into the skull and took bone powder for analysis. Their findings changed their view of the Cheddar Man who has been described as having brown eyes and white skin. Lighter pigmentation is a new feature of populations in Northern Europe. Cheddar Man immigrated to England at the end of the Ice Age and his DNA has been attributed to individuals found in modern-day Spain, Hungary, and Luxembourg. An ancient DNA researcher said that the Cheddar Man cave environment is very helpful in preserving the corpse. The environment is really nice, cool and prevents damage. The remains of Cheddar Man, complete with black hair along the shoulders and shorter faces of hair are made using 3D printing. It took almost 3 months to create the model. The maker uses a high-tech scanner that has been designed for the International Space Station. Alfon Kennis made the statue with his brother, Adrie. He says that his DNA findings are "revolutionary" and this is a story of migration throughout history.
