Hi Steemians! 

There are many tokens listed on Steem-Engine with some working projects and some yet crowd funding. Recently I realised that there were many projects that were actually super useful. So I have planned to start a series of blogs describing and exploring the many projects on the Steem blockchain.

Today is the first blog of the series. 

The plankton community is a vibrant community of people who believe that plankton can make a difference on steemit who have been ignored for most of time since steem's birth.

They believe that the future of Steem is in the empowerment of active planktons. The community actively supports it's members by upvoting and providing assistance on almost everything from technical to personal and also on the new changes in Steem.

When I bought 20 PLKN(Plankton tokens), it costed only 5 Steems but now it costs 7 Steems and tomorrow it may cost 100 Steems!!! You may have trust issues but I don't totally blame you, the crypto world does have many scams but this is not one of them. How can I tell that? 
This project is run by @mermaidvampire who has been always giving to the steem community, in fact she is the most selfless person I have seen on Steem. You can go ahead and check her posts where she runs many contests and her account grows only through Steem power payouts.

1. Upvotes- This is by far the most important thing that an author would like to see and that is Upvotes. The @plankton.token account Upvotes VIP members. So you get free votes something like SBI or is it?  Actually it is even better.

2. Liquid Steem- The community account often posts about the community, highlighting benefits and how they are helping. People upvote their post and the post payout of @plankton.token account is distributed in Steem.

3. Discord-Most activities take place on discord. The community admins @mermaidvampire and @cadawg keep dropping gifts like this:

4. Weekly games-The community is not present only to increase profitability but is present to entertain us.  Weekly games are held in which you can participate and earn Steem and more of their tokens too. Last week I earned 1 Steem and 0.5 PLKN for answering two trivia questions. 

They also conduct lotteries once in a while. 
The games do not always includeare GK or high-fi science. The first week I joined their community we had guess the logo games.
