Hace un tiempo mi hermana me había recomendado una serie basada en el libro **Heridas Abiertas** de Gillian Flynn, realmente no quise ver la serie porque me parecía interesante poder leer primero el libro y así fue. Está historia es bastante turbia y oscura, pero tiene un toque de intriga que te hace querer terminarlo para saber cuál es la verdad detrás de tanta maldad. > Hello friends of the BookClub community, I hope you are well today 😊. A while ago my sister had recommended me a series based on the book **Sharp Objects** by Gillian Flynn, I really didn't want to watch the series because it seemed interesting to me to be able to read the book first and so I did. En medio de todo el malestar emocional Camille encontró en lastimarse a si misma en diferentes partes del cuerpo colocando palabras que la hirieron en su momento y que aún luego de haber pasado tantos años sigue permanente el dolor de aquellas marcas que no se pueden ver a simple vista, las del alma. > Camille is a woman who grew up with many shortcomings, especially from the most important person for her, her mother, who always had a very strange attitude that only made her feel guilty for never having been the daughter she would have wished for. No fue fácil ver el personaje de Camille quien sufre de una fuerte depresión y ansiedad además de sus problemas con los cortes que se hace así misma aunque en la actualidad no lo ha hecho de nuevo, pero estar en ese ambiente del cual salió corriendo debido a el desprecio por parte de su madre, hace que ella tenga ciertos comportamientos como volver a tener episodios donde bebe grandes cantidades de alcohol para sentirse un poco mejor con la situación y la tormenta que lleva por dentro. > The story is really gripping, although the first few pages were hard to read because of the slow beginning, I was curious to know more about the truth behind the murders and Camille's story. It was not easy to see the character of Camille who suffers from a strong depression and anxiety in addition to her problems with the cuts she makes herself although she has not done it again, but being in that environment from which she ran away due to the contempt of her mother, makes her have certain behaviors such as having episodes where she drinks large amounts of alcohol to feel a little better with the situation and the storm that she carries inside.  <center><sub>[source](https://pin.it/5VWeaj4Vu)</sub></center> El misterio es muy bueno dentro de la historia, se puede decir que te quedas impresionado con cada cosa que va sucediendo hasta que vas terminando la historia y llega un golpe tras otro, hay varios *plot twist* que hacen que la historia sea realmente fascinante pero a la vez muy cruel y difícil de digerir. Me gusto la forma en la que fue narrada la historia desde la perspectiva de Camille, además también los personajes que forman parte del libro tienen cada uno una forma de dejar entrever que las cosas en ese pueblo son más turbias de lo que parecen. > The mystery is very good within the story, you can say that you are impressed with each thing that happens until you are finishing the story and comes one blow after another, there are several *plot twist* that make the story really fascinating but at the same time very cruel and difficult to digest. I liked the way the story was told from Camille's perspective, also the characters that are part of the book each have a way of hinting that things in that town are murkier than they seem.  <center><sub>[source](https://pin.it/5ztz1Qlbz)</sub></center> El tema de la salud mental esta presente en el libro y es el punto principal de todo los secretos que hay dentro de él. Desde las ideas de enfermedades que parecen estar en algunos personajes pero que a la vez no están y son más que todo provocados por alguna situación. El tema de la relación entre Camille, su madre, su pareja y su hermanastra quien muestra una actitud muy preocupante para una joven de trece años. > The theme of mental health is present in the book and is the main point of all the secrets within it. From the ideas of illnesses that seem to be in some characters but at the same time are not and are mostly provoked by some situation. The theme of the relationship between Camille, her mother, her partner and her stepsister who shows a very worrying attitude for a thirteen year old girl.  <center><sub>[source](https://images.app.goo.gl/TdKUT)</sub></center> ¿Recomiendo la historia? Definitivamente si, pero deben tener cuidado con los temas sensibles que pueden llegar a afectar a personas que pasan por problemas de salud mental, por lo que no recomendaría que si estás sensible o te sientes mal emocionalmente leerte está historia. A mí en lo particular me encantó todo aunque fue algo diferente a lo que suelo leer, pero veo que me van gustando cada vez más las historias de misterio y que tienen ese toque de realidad que te dejan impresionado. Heridas Abiertas tiene misterio, secretos, miedos, abusos, traumas, muertes y personajes que realmente se sienten reales y humanos, espero que si tienen la oportunidad de leer el libro antes de buscar la serie lo hagan, vale la pena hacerlo. > Do I recommend the story? Definitely yes, but you should be careful with the sensitive topics that can affect people who go through mental health problems, so I would not recommend that if you are sensitive or feel bad emotionally read this story. I particularly loved it all even though it was a little different from what I usually read, but I see that I am liking more and more mystery stories that have that touch of reality that leaves you impressed.
