The devastating fires, which caused considerable losses in the mountain agricultural plantations and forests of the region, caused alarm and anger among the inhabitants, especially those whose flames came close to home. 

This situation provoked a controversy over the origin of the fires, paving the way for speculation.

The climate is very stifling and the heat has reached 48 °, the citizens denounce the lack of means of intervention.
