In a day I block a minimum of 2 numbers coming from these call centers. I feel sad for them but then at the same time it is so annoying, that they keep calling randomly. Some 15 years back I had made an enquiry for a HR study course with some institutions, it is crazy that I still keep getting calls from them enquiring if I am interested to pursue and then emails also. Once if you call up a bank or these institutions, they register your number and then you constantly keep getting calls from them. I get a call from my own Bank call center if I want to open an account with them. Honestly, I do bash up on these kinds of calls, because that's not the way. There should be some basic checks before they call up. They just blindly do the calling activity.

Specially in India it is crazy. Though I have selected the option of block these calls by default but still some of them I get. The most annoying part is someone calling me up on a Sunday afternoon when I am napping, and then I my sleep is disturbed by these calls. I get a call from some banks regularly to check if I want a loan. I have informed them 100s of times that I do not want a loan, but yet they keep trying. They are hopeful that may be some day I will need...hehehe. I have blocked their numbers, but every time I get a call from another new number. I don't know how they do all these crazy things.

When I shifted to Muscat and got a new sim here, it was a big relief because my number was not registered anywhere, but over a period of these 7 years I do get a lot of junk SMS. One thing good is I do not get phone calls, and just SMS, so it's still less bothering. I keep my India sim switched off when I am in Muscat, but as soon as I land in Mumbai and switch on my phone, some or the other call comes in a matter of an hour or so and that makes me really feel like, Welcome to India :-)...hehehe

I know poor guys; they are also doing a job where they have these stringent targets to achieve and based on that they get their money commission. I feel sorry for them, that they have to take all this brunt from the customers. I am sure there will be so many customers like me who will be annoyed with these phone calls. But they should have some systems where if the person has once declined for the services, then it should get recorded in their master data and they should not call them up, unless that person shows some interest. Sometimes you can hear the frustration in their voice as well. Most of the times even if I feel annoyed with these calls, I do try to be nice with them.

The best part is when you need them, they are not there. If you call up a call center for any query or assistance, first of all you will be put on hold like forever, and when they answer, then sometimes they do not have the solution for you, or they are not in a mood to talk :-) Crazy things happen in this world of technology.
