0.000 HBDNEWBIE QUESTIONS: WHY DO I WRITE GOOD CONTENTS & STILL GET LITTLE UPVOTES?
*Dear Minnow,* I have gotten this question alot. Newbies keep asking this over and over... you know why? SIMPLE ANSWER! >They came with the wrong mindset. In other words, they came for the money and not for the community. [source:pixabay]() See the importance of community here: ["On Steemit, Content Is King While Community Is Queen"](https://steemit.com/dearminnow/@nairadaddy/dear-minnow-part-44-on-steemit-content-is-king-while-community-is-queen) I have reiterated over and over why its good to come for the money. We all need money but if you put it first, you are going into the rat-race. [You Can Never Leave The Rat-Race Unless You Unlearn The Rat-Race Mindset](https://steemit.com/dearminnow/@nairadaddy/dear-minnow-part43-always-put-value-first-money-will-come-along). >The *rat-race* mindset is a poverty mentality. >>To succeed here, you need an abundance mentality. ### LET ME LIST SOME OF THE COMMON THINGS NEWBIES DO WRONGLY ON STEEMIT - Their blog is messy: >a messy blog is unorganized. It has no title. No focus. No direction. IF YOU WANT to be a serious blogger, then be! >>For example, you will commonly see a newbie's blog without profile image. Many don't have a catchy bio. Many don't have a cover image. - Their content is poor: > a very important point to note is that you are not the judge of what content is *viral*. The masses are the judge. On your own part, what you can guarantee is quality. >>Many newbies have done a very poor research in their work. Images are zero. - They are not unique: > Steemit is not Twitter where you write 2 words and expect an upvote. Steemit is not Facebook where you write the same thing with everybody else and expect an upvote. >> You have to find a niche. Make your passion count and give us all what we have never seen on Steemit before. Read ["HOW TO FIND YOUR NICHE"](https://steemit.com/dearminnow/@nairadaddy/dear-minnow-part-42-find-your-niche-do-that-thing-you-love-doing-most-and-write-about-it-till-you-are-known-for-it-with-examples) [source:pixabay]() - They plagiarize alot: > This is just damn crazy. When you have @cheetah commenting on your post, yet you expect people to take you seriously? Steemit is a place for unique, original, quality people. You must learn to be unique and original to survive here. >> Cite the sources of your images, and never you copy and paste. - Too many useless resteems: >Sometimes you can visit someone's blog ad struggle to find their own content. >>Why? Because they have an endless list of useless resteems. You will quickly learn that you should only resteem a post that falls within your niche or follows the course of your pathway. - They never comment, they only spam: > You have to stop thinking about what steemit can do for you. Instead think about what you will do for steemit. >>Read and leave a valuable comment on people's blogs. Not spam comments like "nice post". CRAP! - They are not patient nor consistent: > They want to blow with just one post. You have to keep doing good over and over and over again. >> Do it until you are known for it. That doesn't happen in one day. I promise. Think long-term. Think future! [source:pixabay]() --- --- I won't say more. Money follows those who create value; not the other way round. Steemit is no exception to *the law of money*. >Take your time. Build a followership. Build a brand. Get known for something. ***And Upvotes will rain on you so much that you may need an umbrella.*** --- --- ### Have a Happy Sunday and Keep Steeming come rain, come sunshine!! --- --- *WANNA CONNECT?* Join #AIR-CLINIC For "THE TAKE-OFF" See link here: https://discord.gg/rqded5m [](https://postimg.org/image/caxhtah4t/)
